Experiments.



With only two or three colors I made portraits.















 My frame maker showed me how to use prada, gold foil. Annual visits at Borobudur and Prambanan temple complexes were inspiring.









I read that Degas, the master of soft pastels, made monoprints underneath his pastels, to make more depth. I tried the same. Sometimes there was so much ink left on my glass plate that I could make a second print. The first print was sometimes already good enough to frame it. And sometimes the pastel result was much less than the ink print.
